2D Animation
FINAL critique (30%) (Due: May 16, 2011 by 5pm)
Specs:
- 45 seconds long and make it good. What is good? Think about the various discussions we have had throughout the quarter (narrative, secondary motion, character development, pov). Your animation should be something that your are proud of and your best work.
- You can use any technique that we have discussed in class. (Frame by Frame, rotoscope, stop motion)
- Please add a title and a credits screen (this does not count towards the 45 seconds).
- Add some type of sound/music to your animation.
- Minimum resolution: 720 x 480
When submitting your file, please include the following:
- .mov file to the dropbox
- Vimeo/Youtube link – please put it in the comment when uploading.
- don’t forget to include within the file name and folder the following structure – FIRSTNAME_LASTNAME_Final (ex. Kim_Heintz_Final)
- Failure to do so will result in losing points.
This class will be devoted to viewing your final projects. Attendance in mandatory. Submit all projects in advance to Professor Heintz.

The course is designed to give Game Development and New Media students a taste of various types of animation and also an appreciation of what is involved in creating them.
