The Exquisite Corpse Project (10%) (In Class – May 2, 2011)
Today we will stitch together your various contributions to the Exquisite Corpse and screen them.
This is a do it all in one session event.
Submit your videos an hour prior to the end of class and we will string them together, add sound and watch them.
- Create a simple shape with the brush tool in flash. Requirements: the stage is 720 x 480, the background is white.
- Pass the .fla and an exported .jpg to one of your classmates
- You will receive a .fla and .jpg from one of your classmates
- Create a MINIMUM 10 second animation that:
- BEGINS with the shape given to you
- Holds on the initial shape for 3 frames
- Includes your name
- ENDS with the shape you gave to someone else
- Holds on that end frame for 3 frames
- Export it as a quicktime movie and turn it in to the prof of the day by one hour before the end of class. Please put your number in the fileName. Upload to the dropbox.
This loop may suggest different forms and movements. It could merely be the start of a chain of events. It could be just one part of an articulated figure.
Use any method of animation you desire: tweened or frame by frame; photoshop or flash. Alas, not enough time for stop motion, but rotoscope or the layering of video is a possibility.
Welcome!
This course blog will be your primary resource. Mycourses will still be used to post grades.
The course is designed to give Game Development and New Media students a taste of various types of animation and also an appreciation of what is involved in creating them.
