(15%) Due: March 21, 2011 5 pm
Create a 30 second frame by frame animation at a rate of 12 frames per second. The resolution should be 720 x 480. (Those using stop motion software, do select a resolution closest to this).
Grading criteria:
- At least one of the following attributes should follow a narrative arc. A satisfactory resolution of multiple attribute arcs will result in a higher grade.
- rhythm
- pace
- flocking
- color
- line shape
- spatial relationship
- Sound
- Title and Credits
This is certainly ambiguous and very open ended. Class examples and discussion will provide context. (Another way of saying, do not miss these first few classes). Death is not allowed (but bloodshed is okay).
How to submit:
- Upload to your dropbox in my courses in a zip file.
- Upload to your Vimeo account and email me a link.
- The file format should be in a .mov, .flv., or .mpeg4.
- .swf are not accepted
- Your file name should be in the format of FirstLast.zip (ex. JohnnyCash.zip).
- If you are doing your work in Flash, please upload your .fla file as well. Note: There is no MOTION TWEENING allowed.
Welcome!
This course blog will be your primary resource. Mycourses will still be used to post grades.
The course is designed to give Game Development and New Media students a taste of various types of animation and also an appreciation of what is involved in creating them.
